July 7, 2020 at 10:35amI am perplexed, lovely tool but you cant select your own font for the Menu? Everything in my make up of the design sits really well but the menu is simply awful. I would hate to have to dump the entire design and tool due to the menu. Does anyone have any ideas. I don't want to start messing with code as that is exactly why I bought the template, to no have to mess with anything.

this is the menu from startup framework
This was the menu from the old hubspot template I used which was FREE!!! and customization
Hi Kirsty! Unfortunately our current version of StartUp Framework does not support font selection on some areas. We're working on the Framework 2.0 which will allow new features including font selection.
Please note that you can still use code overrides to force a font on certain areas. And if you do not want immerse yourself in coding. We offer customization services.

I didn't buy the template to have to pay for customization! Poor functionality. such a shame. Especially since the basic FREE templates from others in Hubspot have this basic need met.
What is the time frame for this update so I can work out if I should just dump the entire site and move on to another supplier? Which would be a real shame. I only wish the navigation could be detached and another used. the rest of the template is usable with tweaking
Hi Kirsty: I'm sorry that you are having issues with our product and its not giving you what you needed.
Note: You can edit the template and remove the header and/or footer included. This could help you "drag" a different navigation module in HubSpot.
As for the next gen Framework. Its development is underway. The estimated ETA is 6 to 8 months.
Let me talk with one of our developers to see if there is an easy way to remove the navigation included in StartUp Framework so you can set a different one of your choice.
Hi @kirsty-sweeney : I talked with our developer, and unfortunately swapping the menus would require coding/editing as it might have a conflict with some files such as styling.

See this is a fundamental issue you have. It is such a shame. I am pretty sure many more will venture to this chat and be thinking the same thing. I notice I am not the only person to post about this. So even if I asked you to help you couldn't. I would be interested in a price to fix the navigation to something much more appealing as it really makes the site ugly and it's the first thing and most used item people will touch on the sight. Not this is mostly a problem on your desktop sight. Which I also notice in other items. Like padding. The desktop site is in excess of padding while the mobile site appear much nicer. However HubSpot flags warnings on your mobile design that also can not be fixed. I hope you are looking into this too.
Hi @kirsty-sweeney : as mentioned, all these issues will be resolved in the upcoming version of the StartUp Framework.
As for the help. I'm unsure why you remark that I could not help you. I offered you some solutions. Unfortunately there isn't an easy way on this particular issue.
As for customizing the menu: Our developer quoted an 1 hour job to make the changes to add Font change settings. Our rates are 100 USD per/h for developer work.
As for other issues, can you clarify what other issues are you seeing? Like the desktop padding and hubspot warnings?
Note that most of the issues related to errors, broken design, etc.. Is usually caused by a third party module or template causing conflict with the Framework. Well be happy to check on this.
To be able to help you. Can you share the url of the problematic pages?

Hi @kirsty-sweeney : Are you still experiencing issues?

WARNING - the page has a properly configured viewport meta tag Without a properly configured viewport, your mobile visitors may have to pinch and zoom to read the page content. This page has multiple viewport meta tags. It should only have one.
FONTS part 2 - is there nothing that can be done even to make the menu justified to one side. the centered menu is so old fashioned. Dont really want to pay $100 for that luxury.
