Blog listing templates

October 19, 2019 at 2:47pm

Hi guys,

  1. do you offer any blog listing templates from brix? Our goal is to have a simple grid of blogs with their featured images. I notice that there is only blog page templates at the moment.
  2. do you have advice on combining other blog listing templates (i.e from other themes) with yours? perhaps by keeping the navbar intact?

As for combining blog listing templates, What are you looking to do? Currently our blog template is standalone.

Ideally, we'd use this listing template ( https://www.campaigncreators.com/blog) with the Brix/StartupFramework Nav bar we currently have

If there are no grid blog listing templates offered by this, can you advise on the second question in the original thread, which is the best way for us to combine a non-brix template with a brix navbar?

Hi @k : I think you're confusing MODULES with TEMPLATES.

the ones listed in briX are MODULES that lets you output blog content in an specified way.

@k What I'm understanding that you are wanting is a custom "template" for your blog listing page, right? @cesarin aren't we offering our SUF customers a discount on any custom work they would like done? Can our developers create a custom blog listing template?

Hi @k: We do have BLOG modules that shares blog content in individual webpages or landing pages. Homewer, these are PREMIUM modules only contained in the FULL version of StartUp Framework.

I'm having the same issues as @k with understanding the relationship of the blog module to landing page. Do you have a tutorial or guidance on how the blog module/blog post can be pushed into a landing page using brix framework and/or templates? I tried making a landing page with "showcase modules" and a "team" module and then I tried to link individual blog posts to the grid previews of teams/showcases but it doesn't seem like I can assign "all posts" now and moving forward to have that relationship like a listing page does. I can't be updating links everyday and adding new previews. Also, I can't assign the landing page in my blog settings only "template" files, all I could see was the SUF Blog Template to assign not the landing page I imported.
